Caroline Omar

STUDENT INTERN

    Caroline Omar is a student at Baylor University currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work with an emphasis in children and families. Raised in Missouri City, TX, she attended the University of Houston where she obtained her B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management. After working for a foster and adoption care nonprofit she had a desire to go back to school and study to become an LCSW. Caroline has worked in residential and non-profit practice settings and primarily works with children and adolescents, by using a collaborative holistic approach. She believes in implementing strategies and skills to meet clients where they are developmentally, socially, as well as emotionally. Caroline enjoys working with children and their families to aid them in recognizing their own strengths as well as identifying growth areas to promote positive change. Her training areas include experience with anxiety, depression, social skills, divorce, parenting, and adoption-related concerns. She has used modalities including TBRI, CBT, MI, and group therapy.   
     
    Caroline’s favorite role is wife to her husband Ameer and mom to her son Elijah. She loves to paint, bake, journal, and go on walks with her family.
