My passion for social work began in childhood, as I grew up seeing my mother practice social work at a Christian school in El Salvador. As I grew older, my love for Christ and serving others also grew. I studied at Texas A&M and received my Master's degree in Social Work in 2015 from the University of Houston. In 2020, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide services for children and adolescents in both English and Spanish, and I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Play Therapy. As a Christian social worker, I get to combine evidence-based interventions with the truth found in Scripture, and it is such a blessing to be a part of the healing journey with my clients.
In my free time, I enjoy watching baseball, giving myself manicures, eating breakfast foods, and serving in the college ministry at my church.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
