COUNSELOR, M.A., LPC-A | EMDR Trained

I have always loved the joy of journeying with people through life’s many adventures and challenges. I am drawn to people of all ages and love to be a part of the lives of everyone from children to senior adults. I have personal experience with grief, disappointment, relational brokenness and the many challenges we face in this world. I believe God longs to bring restoration and healing to this brokenness. I desire, through the work of the Holy Spirit, to help bring that about through the counseling relationship.

My undergraduate degree is in Social Work/Family Development and I have a Seminary degree in Ministry. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Counseling and am working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). Additionally, I am working towards certification in EMDR and Play Therapy. In a lot of ways, it may seem that I am late in starting my professional career in counseling, but I firmly believe that every experience I have had thus far has prepared me for this new journey. I have had the honor and privilege to work with street children in China, mentor college students, serve alongside women of all ages, and walk with families through the grief and loss of their child’s terminal illness. Through it all, I have come to know God as healer and the giver of abundant life.

    THE FUN STUFF:

Relationship, music, and the outdoors are some of my favorite things in life. I find that each of these things helps connect me to God in unique ways. For fun I enjoy serving on the worship and women’s ministry teams at my church, as well as spending time with those I love and being in the sunshine as much as possible.
