Project Bless the Children

To bless a child is to bless Christ Himself.

God is blessing Fairfield Baptist with more and more children each week!

That means we have the incredible opportunity to bring the next generation closer to Jesus. Project Bless the Children is our churchwide call to make sure every child who walks through our doors is cared for, prayed over, and pointed to Christ.

The Heart of Project Bless the Children

When the disciples tried to keep the children away, Jesus stopped everything and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them.”

That’s the heartbeat behind Project Bless the Children. We want to make sure nothing keeps kids from encountering Jesus — not space, not scheduling, not lack of volunteers.

Every volunteer, every smile, every prayer is a way we bless Christ Himself.

Why it Matters

At Fairfield Baptist, we believe every generation has a role in making disciples. Project Bless the Children is how we live that out together — by discipling the youngest among us and equipping the church to carry that responsibility with joy.

This isn’t a program. It’s a calling.

Real Stories. Real Impact.

FAQ's

Do I have to teach?
Nope! There are many ways to serve in Project Bless the Children. You can help with snacks, crafts, check-in, tech, or simply assist in a classroom. Every role matters.
Can my Life Groups serve together?
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage small groups, Bible classes, and families to serve one Sunday each quarter as a team. It’s a great way to build relationships while blessing our kids.
What if I can't serve weekly?
That’s totally fine. You can serve weekly, monthly, or even quarterly. We’ll help you find a rhythm that works for your schedule.
Is there training involved?
Yes! Every volunteer receives simple training that covers classroom structure, safety, and best practices. We’ll walk with you every step of the way.
Do I need to complete a background check?
The safety of our kids is our top priority. All volunteers are required to complete a background check and child protection training before serving. This ensures a safe, welcoming environment for every family.
Do I need to be a church member to serve?
Yes. Because serving in children’s ministry is an extension of discipleship, we ask that all volunteers be members of Fairfield Baptist Church.
