At Fairfield Baptist, we're all about camp! It's a time to escape and focus on the Lord.
Fairfield Student Ministries' Focus Camp aims to deepen students' faith, foster fellowship, and ignite a passion for serving Jesus. From worship to teaching to recreation, every moment is carefully planned to create impactful experiences.
Here's what to expect:
- No phones allowed: We want real-life connections, so we have a strict no-phone policy. Don't worry, adults will have phones for emergencies.
- Compete for the Duck: Our camp trophy is a giant rubber ducky! Teams compete in fun and challenging games all week.
- Serious about God's Word: Our speaker, Joey Dodson, is engaging and scholarly, bringing truth to life.
- Camp is just the beginning: We're a ministry focused on making disciples. Camp kickstarts our ministry year.
Don't let your student miss out! Sign up by Sunday, June 9th.
Scholarships available upon request. Contact Daniel at for questions.
Meet our Speaker Joey Dodson!
Joey teaches at Denver Seminary and at Purdue University. He studied at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and then went on to the University of Tübingen in Germany. Joey has the mind of a scholar, the heart of a pastor, and the energy of a youth minister. He writes a lot of stuffy scholarly stuff when he’s not traveling or on a mountain. An avid hiker, he has climbed countless mountains around the world—including two-thirds of “the 14ers” in the contiguous US as well as a “17er” in Peru. More importantly, Joey married his elementary school sweetheart, Sadie. They have been married now for 29 years (beating Daron and Julie's record only by a few hours). Joey and Sadie have five children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and the greatest granddaughter and grandson in the entire multiverse. Oh yeah, he also served as a youth pastor at Fairfield way back around the turn of the century. Oh yeah, oh yeah, he also taught Daniel and Wes Greek in college and somehow still did not lose all hope for the world.
