Spiritual confusion, poverty, and oppressive societies have long kept the gospel from advancing through Latin America. But the people are searching for hope.

Recognizing that their tribal religions cannot provide the answers they’re looking for, Latin Americans are seeking truth and finding it … in the gospel. The Church, fueled by the power of the gospel message, is advancing as nationals take up the cause of Christ.

You can journey to Latin America to work alongside these nationals to encourage and stimulate their faith while engaging in community outreach. In doing so, you will experience God’s hand at work through divine appointments in Latin America.

Join us for a meaningful weekend of service as we partner with our mission partner, The Church at Northside, right here in Houston.

This family-friendly mission opportunity is centered around sharing the love of Christ in a tangible way by helping connect neighbors to a local church community where they can grow in faith and discipleship. Our goal is not simply to host an event, but to build genuine relationships and create pathways for people in the community to become connected to The Church at Northside — a local body of Christ committed to ongoing spiritual growth, fellowship, and discipleship.

Whether you can join us for the entire weekend or just one portion, we would love for you to participate in whatever way your schedule allows.

What to Expect:

Friday Evening – Community Canvassing
Friday night is a great opportunity for those who are coming from work, school, or other commitments to jump in and serve. We’ll gather to prayerfully canvas the neighborhood where Saturday’s event will take place, personally inviting families to attend the Party in the Park and introducing ourselves to the community.

Saturday – Party in the Park
Saturday is the heart of the weekend! Together with The Church at Northside, we’ll host a fun, family-friendly outreach event filled with food, games, fellowship, and activities for all ages. More than just a gathering, the Party in the Park is designed to foster authentic conversations, demonstrate Christ’s love, and warmly invite neighbors into the life of the church.

Our prayer is that those who attend would not only enjoy the event, but also feel welcomed into a church community where they can find belonging, encouragement, and opportunities for discipleship.

Sunday Morning – Optional Worship
For anyone who is interested, there will be an optional opportunity to attend worship at The Church at Northside on Sunday morning. This is a meaningful way to continue building relationships and to see firsthand the local body of believers we are supporting.

No matter which portion of the weekend you’re able to attend — Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or all three — this is a beautiful opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in Houston, loving our neighbors and helping connect them to a Christ-centered community where lasting spiritual growth can take place.

We will be joining our ministry partner by visiting them in their home and accompanying them as they cultivate the ground by initiating relationships that they will maintain and grow where there is spiritual interest. In addition, we will spend time mutually encouraging and sharpening each other, their children and their Somalian teammates.

Weekend to End Human Trafficking: Awareness, Action, and Advocacy in Cypress

Join us for a powerful weekend conference dedicated to exposing the realities of human trafficking right here in our own community of Cypress. Hosted in partnership with Elijah Rising, this three-day event will inform, equip, and empower you to make a difference.

Friday Night: Van Tour of Cypress (6:30 PM – 8:30 PM)
Start the weekend with an eye-opening driving tour through Cypress led by local advocates. You’ll learn how human trafficking is operating in our area — in ways often hidden in plain sight — and gain insight into the signs, systems, and spaces where exploitation occurs.

Saturday: Serve and Learn (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Spend the day building care packages for women currently being exploited and learn tangible ways you can engage in the fight against trafficking. Guest speakers will share actionable steps to advocate for victims and support local anti-trafficking efforts.

Sunday: Survivor Stories Lunch with Elijah Rising (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM)
After Sunday service, join us for a hosted lunch featuring Elijah Rising, a Houston-based nonprofit dedicated to ending sex trafficking. Hear powerful testimonies from survivors and learn how their stories of redemption are shaping the fight for freedom.

Let’s come together as a community to learn, serve, and take a stand.

This 4-Day, 3-Night Mission Trip, is an opportunity for women to serve and evangelize in the Rio Grande Valley area, including food distribution and prayer, as well as encouraging women with a one-day women's conference on Saturday.

What to Expect on Extreme Teams

Physical Challenges
The villages where we trek are unreached for a reason. Their locations are accessible only by foot, making it difficult and time-consuming to reach. Each day your strength and stamina will be tested as you hike some of the world’s most challenging mountain ranges with your food, clothing, and camping gear on your back.

Spiritual Growth
This trip isn’t just about hiking; it’s about taking the message of Christ to people who have never had the opportunity to hear and respond to it. Daily you’ll be reliant on the Holy Spirit and experience spiritual growth like never before as you travel from village to village to evangelize the lost.

Team Bonding
Nothing unites believers quite like a short-term mission trip, especially when you’re reliant on each other for spiritual and physical encouragement. Mornings on the trail start with team devotionals, prayer, and briefings. Evenings are spent sharing stories from your day of ministry.

Gospel Impact
You’ll witness God use you to seek and save the lost throughout the week, but the work doesn’t end when your team leaves. East-West’s network of national partners follow up with new believers, disciple them, and start churches in these previously unreached areas.

Adventure
Daily you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of God’s creation and the opportunity to explore it with your team of Americans and national partners off of the typical tourist trail. The sights and sounds of the landscape and the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture is an adventure of a lifetime.

The Houston area is one of the most strategic cities in North America for the advancement of the gospel. Nations from unreached people groups (UPGs) have flooded Houston due to the benefits of the education system, low cost of living, and economic opportunities.

As the Lord has led, we are seeking to bring good news to our Afghan friends who have flooded into the community. It is our goal, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, to see gospel seeds planted, disciples made and churches planted.Your involvement plays a vital role in finding where God is at work while inviting people to walk in love and obedience with Jesus.

This is an embedded evangelistic mission opportunity with local ground transportation, lodging, and some authentic ethnic meals. Sleeping accommodations, meals, and training take place in the apartments the Houston Field Team conducts ministry. Transportation to and from Houston, meals on travel days, and souvenirs are not covered.
