Day 1: The Posture of a Servant

Reading: Mark 10:35-45

Devotional: Jesus rebuked the desire for status and redefined greatness as servanthood. In a world that celebrates those at the top of the org chart, the kingdom of God operates in reverse. Paul reminded the elders at Ephesus that he served among them with all humility and tears. He did not lead from a distance. He was present, sacrificial, and low. Consider the areas of your life where pride quietly resists inconvenience. Servanthood is not a personality type. It is a command. Ask God today to reveal one specific place where you can lay down your preferences and serve another person without recognition or reward.

Day 2: The Whole Counsel of God

Reading: 2 Timothy 3:14-17

Devotional: Paul told the Ephesian elders he did not shrink from declaring anything profitable, teaching them publicly and from house to house. Scripture describes itself as sufficient for every good work, profitable for correction and instruction. It is tempting to gravitate toward the comfortable passages and avoid the ones that demand something from us. But a healthy spiritual life requires exposure to the whole counsel of God, not just the portions that feel encouraging. Commit today to reading Scripture not simply for comfort but for correction. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate any area of your thinking or behavior that needs to be brought into alignment with what is true.

Day 3: Repentance as a Gift

Reading: Acts 3:17-20

Devotional: The goal of biblical preaching is not the transfer of information. It is repentance and faith. Peter called his listeners to turn back so that times of refreshing might come from the presence of God. Repentance is not a punishment. It is a gift. It is the grace-given ability to see sin clearly and turn away from it toward God. Paul testified to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. These two realities belong together. Where there is genuine faith, there will be genuine turning. Examine your heart today. Is there a direction you need to change? Repentance is not a one-time event but a daily posture.

Day 4: Constrained by the Spirit

Reading: Romans 8:12-17

Devotional: Paul described himself as constrained by the Spirit, moving toward Jerusalem without knowing what awaited him. He was not reckless. He was surrendered. The Spirit of God does not lead his people into confusion but into obedience, even when the outcome is uncertain. Paul said he did not count his life as precious to himself. That kind of freedom only comes when a person is fully convinced that God is trustworthy. What would change in your daily life if you approached each morning as a person on mission, led by the Spirit, unattached to your own comfort or plans? Ask God today for the courage to follow where he leads, even without a clear outcome in sight.

Day 5: Purchased by His Blood

Reading: 1 Peter 1:17-21

Devotional: Paul charged the elders to care for the church that God purchased with his own blood. The people sitting around you on any given Sunday were not gathered by accident or by clever programming. They were purchased at the highest possible price. Peter echoes this truth, reminding believers that they were ransomed not with silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ. This truth should fundamentally change how we see one another. The person whose name you do not yet know, the child in the nursery, the new family in the back row, all of them bear the mark of that price. Caring for one another is not optional. It is a response to what Christ has already done.
