You are a unique individual composed of mind, body, and spirit. You are created for more than survival.
You are created for relationship and joy.

Living in a broken world, you find yourself facing various hurts and struggles. Through a trusting relationship with a compassionate counselor, you can heal and be restored to the fullness of life you were designed to enjoy. We can identify your needs and develop a plan that is right for you by combining professional counseling tools with a compassionate, Biblically integrated philosophy. We are a gospel-centered, professional counseling ministry offering low-cost, confidential counseling.

Grounded in truth. Motivated by love. Empowered by the Spirit.

Children (0-12)

There are many types of therapy for children. We are eclectic in our approach interweaving various evidence-based modalities to provide the unique approach each child needs to heal. We allow children to “work through” their problems through the play itself or it can serve as a catalyst for meaningful dialogue between the child and therapist. The therapies we offer for children include: - Play Therapy - Sandtray Therapy - EMDR - Attachment Therapy - Trauma Therapy - TBRI® Trust Based Relational Intervention. You can read more about these in the "Therapy Tools" section.

Adolescents (13-19)

Adolescence is a challenging and exciting season of development. The experiences of childhood begin to surface and the transition to adulthood can produce distress for both parent and child. Therapy with teens is a collaborative endeavor that includes parents and the therapist. Through a trusting relationship, a trained counselor can support you and your teen through the steps of healing and growth. The therapies we offer for adolescents include Sandtray, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Attachment and/or Trauma Focused Therapy and TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention). You can read more about these in the "Therapy Tools" section.

Adults (Men & Women)

Individual adults come to counseling for different reasons. Some have experienced significant trauma or serious mental health struggles. Others just have a sense that life could be different and a hope that they could experience more peace. Some adults choose to come to counseling because they want support in setting goals and direction for the future or transitioning between life situations. Whatever you are facing, you don’t have to face it alone. Taking the first step to reach out and receive help is the best decision you can make for yourself and your future. Through a trusting relationship with a compassionate, trained, professional, change can happen. Healing and growth are available and we are ready to walk that journey with you. Some of the therapies we offer for adults include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment/trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness practice, Sandtray, and inner healing (Christian tools of prayer and meditation). You can find out more about these in the "Therapy Tools" section.

Family therapy refers to couples and parents. We have therapists trained in Prepare-Enrich for Couples, TBRI, and PCIT for parents. The family is a system and each person influences the system. The relationship between husband and wife is the foundation for the family system. The relationship between parents and children sets the developmental trajectory of the children.

Therapy Tools

Play Therapy:
There are many types of therapy for children. We are eclectic in our approach interweaving various evidence-based modalities to provide the unique approach each child needs to heal. Play is the language of children and we are able to join them in their process by speaking their langue. The therapies we offer for children include: Play Therapy, Attachment and/or trauma Focused Therapy, Sandtray, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and TBRI® (Trust Based Relational Intervention). You can read more about these in the "Therapy Tools" section.
Sandtray Therapy allows a person to construct his or her own story using miniature figures and sand. The story created can be a reflection of the person’s own life and allows them to resolve conflicts, remove obstacles, and gain acceptance of self.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference

Meet Our Counselors

Engaging in the healing and restoration of families and individuals is a work that promotes God’s plans for His Kingdom. We need daily prayer support to protect and inspire the work that is taking place in these private session.

Please pray for:

  • The protection, provision, and support of our therapists and their families (view their pictures & bios here).
  • Please pray for our clients to receive freedom from bondage, healing of wounds, and restoration of life and joy.

As a non-profit ministry, we seek to make counseling accessible to the people who need help. One way we keep our rates much lower than average is by keeping costs low.

If God has gifted you with an interest in serving we would love to plug you in to help meet some of our administrative needs. Whether you are looking for a one day service project, a weekly volunteer schedule, or a summer student internship, we have options for you.

Areas of need include:
Facilities maintenance, business and marketing, networking, administrative/office, counseling student interns for intake and group support, Microsoft office forms and spreadsheets.

Financial limitations should not be a barrier to getting the help children and families need. Our mission is to provide the highest quality, specialized treatment, that our clients need. In our area, these services often cost $150 or more per session. Our wholistic approach to treating the family means that foster and adoptive families often require multiple session per week to meet the needs of each family member. This expense significantly limits treatment options. Our low rates and highly specialized treatment team desire to provide these transformational services without the barrier of high financial expenses. By donating, you will be supporting the Apollos Center in the following ways:

  • Ability to buy needed supplies and treatment resources
  • Support of the Abba Scholarship Fund available to foster and adoptive families
  • Funds towards professional development that allows our counselors to gain the most advance trainings and tools to help children and families
